Bear Creek CX
The legs were a gear off today. I got a decent start and then fell back and couldn’t close the lead group. I spent most of the race rolling solo and finally hooked up with one guy. There was a long run-up and a volleyball court which allowed me to drop the guy I was with. The bigger guys seem to have a problem with run-ups and sand. The course was pretty mtb-like with a ton of single track. But, it was good to be out in the sun and I rolled in 7th.
Word of advice, don’t swap cleats out the night before a race. I was pulling out of my pedals yesterday so I swapped cleats and today they didn’t feel “right”. I was struggling finding the sweet-spot getting in.
