Racing in January…I haven’t done any intensity or structure since mid-December and today it showed. I was suffering on the rivet all day. Luckily I rolled the hole-shot and got into a break of about 5 guys and then I told Jason that he needed to turn it up so we could shed some guys…he did and he almost shot me out the back.. all I could do for the last 4 laps was sit on his wheel and suffer. 1/2 a lap to go my rear tubular went flat and Jason sat up trying to get me to the line before we got caught, but I could see 3rd place catching us and I told him to GO. I got passed and rode the flat all the way to the line and was 10ft from getting passed by another guy. 3rd place.. not bad for January and a flat.
